Spinal mobilization

The aim of spinal mobilization is to stretch the smaller intrinsic muscles, ligaments and other fascial tissues at a specific segmental joint level, without forcing it beyond its physiological range. Unlike spinal manipulation, spinal mobilization do not induce any audible sound. Spinal mobilization is reserved for patients suffering from osteoporosis, fear of chiropractic adjustments, severe hypersensitivity to pain, acute strain/sprain, advanced osteoarthritis, scoliosis and rigid spinal hypomobility.

Both physical therapists and chiropractors, are all educated and trained to use spinal mobilization within the scope of their respective licenses and in a manner that protects the public’s health, safety and welfare.
