About me

If you hear giggles and laughter coming out from room 16, you know I am working today in the clinic. That’s because, while I am providing chiropractic care, I am busy practicing my jokes and inspiring my patients to be the best version of themselves.

I take pride in knowing that I aspire to foster a doctor-patient relationship based on professionalism, respect, and compassion and that is nurtured within an atmosphere that is relaxed, casual, and stress-free. I genuinely am interested in getting to know you both as a human being and a patient. I believe you are much more than just a physical body that is suffering. You also have your own personality and way of doing things. I am sure you also have specific health goals that are important to you. Therefore, I wanted to be a chiropractor who is easily accessible and reached out to my patients.

My goal is to make every patient of mine arrive at the clinic smiling and leave smiling even more. Whether it’s a regular patient or a patient who is nervous experiencing his or her first chiropractic experience, everyone will have a chance to be heard, to be themselves and to experience how chiropractic care, as simple as it is, is very powerful and monumental in improving muscles, joints and nerve pain using just the power of the hands and intricate knowledge of the human body.

Meet Dr. Ramy

Why did I choose chiropractic?

When I studied Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa from 2005 till 2009, I developed a profound interest in the muscles, nerves, and joints’ anatomy and physiology. After researching around, I learned about the power of chiropractic and how, using just the healing touch of hands, one can really transform a patient’s quality of living for the better without having to use medication, surgery or painful injections.

How amazing is that?

After graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2013, I started working at Kent Chiro-Med Wellness Clinic. Over the years, I have begun to see with my own eyes how truly transformative chiropractic care can be: to be able to see a grandmother picking up her granddaughter without ever suffering from severe low back pain spasm, a young marathon runner finishing a race after sustaining many years of hip pain, a young office worker being able to regain her full range of motion of the neck after suffering from debilitating spasms, etc. Every day, there are tons of stories in my practice that could be a great witness to the remarkable power of chiropractic!

What to expect in your first session?

As a chiropractor, my approach is different. I rely heavily on soft tissue therapy, which compliments all sorts of different chiropractic adjustment techniques depending on the areas of pain.

I tell my patient this slogan: “No Pain. No Gain”. They should expect thorough history taking, attention to details during the physical examination and lots of education/reassurance.

New patients leave their first appointment with a name tag on their pain. By knowing exactly what is happening to their body and what kind of treatments they need to mitigate it, patients become more confident and relaxed. When getting treated under my care, you become an equally active partner in your own recovery journey. I provide multiple services such as Graston Technique®, acupuncture, deep Myofascial Release Technique, Dry Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Dry Needling, and Dynamic Joint Mobilization.

While he absolutely loves treating everyone, Dr. Raphael has a special interest in treating sports-related injuries. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2013 where he received a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He has been practicing at Kent Chiro-Med Wellness Clinic in Ottawa since 2013. He is currently a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Canadian Chiropractic Association and Ontario Chiropractic Association. He enjoys outdoor activities, running, hiking, biking, painting, cooking and travelling. Besides being a chiropractor, Dr. Raphael also works as a content creator for the clinic’s brand.

Dr Raphael is definitely one of the best chiropractors out there. He has been friendly and welcoming and tells jokes, while staying professional. He considers how his clients would feel during exercises and lets them stop for a few seconds to have a breather. The receptionists have also been really nice. I truly feel that my TMJ discomfort has lessened and am so glad I picked this clinic and doctor! Many thanks.

Dr. Raphael and Dr. Ghaith are the best chiropractor and physio therapist I have ever met. They are both very caring about you and go above and beyond what most other therapy clinics do. You feel welcomed and listened to about all your issues. Both of these guys have worked magic on me and I feel 1000% better.

Cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Raphael. Coming in to my first appointment, I had little faith any type of treatment could help me recover from my elbow tendinitis. After a few visits with Dr. Raphael and his recommendations, 80-90% of my pain and mobility issues have resolved, after 7 months of non-recovering and significant elbow joint pain that affected my everyday tasks and job. Even better, he’ll really listen to you, and get to know you. It’s clear he cares for his patients and takes joy in his practice. The other staff in the team are all lovely and professional, and will help you with a smile. These guys are rad and will help you heal. Probably the best in Ottawa
